[Singapore, 3rd Dec 2025]Being Bridges, an impact enterprise in Singapore specialising in social innovation in the fields of interreligious and intercultural dialogue, will join Consulus as a component company to fuel its global expansion. Consulus will acquire a minority stake in the company and help with its global expansion.

“We are delighted to welcome Basil Kannangara and Being Bridges to Consulus’ portfolio of companies in creative change and we believe in its potential,” said Freddy Nicolas, Global Chair for Consulus. “Their expertise in helping organisations bridge social sustainability with intercultural, interracial, and interfaith diversity is highly complementary to our mission of Creative Change and will be invaluable in advancing the Economy of Communion. We believe their contributions, particularly on community-driven projects that foster social harmony, will bring significant impact to our clients and our collective vision for a united world through the economy.”

Scope of the Partnership

This comprehensive partnership is designed for mutual benefit and to accelerate the growth of both Consulus and Being Bridges. Being Bridges will gain extensive access to the full suite of Consulus solutions and networks, including:

  • Consulus Creative Change Capital: Focusing on fundraising and impact investment.
  • Consulus Creative Change Consulting: Access to Consulus’s full suite of consulting solutions, including business transformation, AI/digital strategies, and change management.
  • Consulus Creative Changemakers: Full access to events, training solutions, and a network reaching an estimated 10,000 persons across various movements.
  • Consulus AI: Comprehensive solutions for creating AI platforms and integrating AI into systems.
  • Strategic Projects: Key areas of collaboration include co-leading Catholic Impact Consulting, joining the DialogueCORE team led by Dr Farha Iman.

“Our work in Being Bridges has always been about how we could do dialogue differently. We pioneered unusual pathways for the messy maps of interfaith and intercultural diversity, cultivated uncommon collaborations for conversations that made meaning from mystery, and prototyped unproven products and programmes that mobilised immaterial micro-motivations into our award-winning methodologies. In many ways, the field of social innovation snuck up from behind us, and became a comfortable, credible, fit,” Basil Kannangara, Founder of Being Bridges, said.

He adds, “It would also be fitting that such a young bootstrapped team like Being Bridges is unlikely to share a global partnership with a multinational business consulting firm like the Consulus Group. Yet it was an uncommon overlap of social innovation and cultural changemaking that once again quietly snuck up on us, providing a comforting shared familiarity where our ground-up street cred fit within the contours of their global expertise.”

“Our obvious contribution will be with the Consulus DialogueCORE practice that creatively bridges design, business, and dialogue principles to shape how global organisations engage holistically with diverse stakeholders. In social innovation, however, whenever dialogue is the tool, then transformation will be the goal. Since the overarching work of Consulus is changemaking, then as a component partner involved in areas as varied as Catholic impact consulting, youth development and leadership, and AI safety and integration, Being Bridges will collaborate wherever human transformation is a key facet. Advantageously, both our organisations are founded on the premise that genuine transformation requires working from the inside out—in the case of Consulus, that’s changing hearts and minds before changing systems. In our case, it’s being bridges before we can even build bridges… because real change begins at the core,” he notes.

“What does all this mean for our loyal clients? Two exponential shifts—one pragmatic and the other profound:

This partnership significantly strengthens our capacity to deliver world-class social sustainability solutions, leveraging a deeper network of specialist changemakers, companies, and academics spanning multiple sectors and continents. Our award-winning faith and culture initiatives will integrate with Consulus’ own DialogueCORE pillar and UNITY Design Method to holistically support clients via a multidisciplinary approach of systems thinking, organisational design, and leadership development—forming a full suite of strategic and proven transformation solutions.”

“That’s fitting and to be expected, since dialogue at its heart is a peace-building strategy—it naturally makes sense for organisational transformation. But what is more audacious though, is that Consulus has also creatively identified dialogue as a crucial tool for economic arbitrage—a strategic key to mobilise their bold vision for an Economy of Communion, a sustainable model of economic circularity to which Being Bridges is proud to contribute and share with its clients.

At stake in this partnership is a bet on dialogue: a firm shared conviction by both organisations that dialogue profits business, it profits the economy, and it profits humanity.”
