THOUGHT OF THE MONTH
The economy is built on what people trust enough to act on in good faith: a currency, a contract, a brand. From ancient times, faith has shaped how people traded goods and beliefs. An economy is never just about transactions; it starts with beliefs that shape trust. Collectively, that variety of beliefs shapes a common space for an exchange of identities and goods. Strip good faith out of any economy, and what’s left would only be transactions, not relationships that actually sustain growth over time.
In sum, a multi-faith economy has always been present; it is simply less visible, and we intend to change that. As we mark 22 years as a company and movement, we are excited to reshape interreligious dialogue towards one of shared economic action. At a time of rising division, we believe that realising the value of faith-based finance and increasing interfaith collaboration in the economy will be game-changers.
If this resonates with you, come gather with us at Lambeth Palace in London for the Shape the World Summit 2026 to shape a Creative Change Economy.

Shape the World Podcast: Mei Tan on Building A Society With Love
Fresh from a private audience with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican, Asia Green Group CEO Mei Tan joins Cristi Buceceanu in this episode of the Shape the World Podcast to unpack the mechanics of running a faith-rooted business.
She shares how aligning her six siblings around One Garden took a meditation retreat before it took a finance structure, and why she rebuilt Innovatif Plus into One Plus to push next-gen leaders toward facing trauma instead of staying comfortable. This episode is a concrete look at what it costs: in family conflict, risk, and slow trust-building, to put love and faith ahead of a single founder’s blueprint.
IT’S OFFICIAL: Lambeth Palace to Host the Shape the World Summit

We are proud to announce that Lambeth Palace will host the Shape the World Summit this October. As the official London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury for nearly 800 years, Lambeth Palace stands as one of the most significant seats of the Anglican Church, and its decision to open its doors marks a recognition that shaping the global economy is now part of its purpose.
The Summit will bring together leaders shaping the future of commerce, faith, and civilisation, with the Multi-Faith Economy Mark launching as part of the gathering — a new standard for recognising and measuring faith-rooted economic practice across the world.
Due to limited seating, the Summit is invite-only.
